Snake River Surf and Turf

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ribeye steak
  • 1 can of smoked oysters
  • 1 large yellow onion sliced 1/4-inch thick
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • On your camp stove, heat a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the ribeye steak and cook until medium rare. Remove the steak from the pan and set it aside.
  • Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until it starts to soften.
  • Add the mushrooms and smoked oysters. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from the pan once they are hot.
  • Turn the heat to high.
  • Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides. Sear the steak until browned, about 2 minutes per side.
  • Cover with smoked oyster and onion mixture.
  • Time to relax, rest, and eat.
