“When I was 11 my friend’s mom made a peanut butter sandwich. I ate the sandwich and was like, ‘I’m never eating anything else again.’ And I still eat peanut butter every day. I would put peanut butter on a steak.”

— Aasif Mandvi

Just like a good addict, we enjoy our cheeseburgers with a good schmear of peanut butter.

Don’t be raising that upper lip and squish up your nose. It’s not like we’re serving vanilla ice cream with ketchup syrup. Although, we’d probably try that…

Peanut butter, as in PB & J, has been one the greatest invention of mankind since Christianity and some of us wouldn’t don’t mind taking our pants off for it. I put it on everything. Enchiladas with peanut butter? Go ahead. Cheeseburger with peanut butter? Go ahead.

As bizarre as peanut butter burger may sound to some, its essence has been around for some time, and chances are, you’ve already tried it numerous times. Do you like Thai food? Do you get a compelling urge to rush to the same Thai food truck parked on a street corner? Does your stomach get the butterflies from their…peanut sauce? If so, you’ve already had a variation of peanut butter on meat. This tasty rascal has been casting its spell on us for quite some time and through various venues.

Let’s make it official and put another notch on your peanut butter belt with our peanut butter bacon bison cheeseburger. Bison meat tastes slightly sweet, candied bacon is sweet, and when joined with honey, this bad boy lifts everyone’s unctuous umami spots to heavenly levels. Be sure to use great ingredients to get great flavors. Almost all the fixings in our recipe are local and made right here in the Bitterroot Valley. Sax family honey is produced by our friend, and incidentally, our first customer, who lives just up the hill in Florence. Blind’s Beelzebub Rub was a gift from Kalispel, and the bison meat comes from the Bitterroot Bison’s ranch just a few miles down the highway snuggled right up against the Bitterroot Mountains.
